Join small scale mushroom cultivation expert Tom Nagy of River City Mushrooms as he introduces you to using mycelium in the form of grain and sawdust spawn to produce your own homegrown gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. During this program, you will be introduced to how you can select and properly use mushroom spawn to successfully grow a wide variety of different mushroom species and strains using readily available natural materials. Learn how to easily and creatively incorporate mushrooms into vegetable gardens, perennial beds, naturalized outdoor areas and more, enriching your soil and increasing biodiversity while also harvesting bountiful crops of mushrooms throughout the growing season.
