Mushroom Log Inoculation Workshop
Join small scale mushroom cultivation expert Tom Nagy of River City Mushrooms as he introduces you to everything you need to know about growing gourmet edible and medicinal mushrooms out of hardwood logs. During this 2 hour program, you will learn the skills and techniques necessary for how to select and harvest your wood, inoculate your logs with mushroom culture, incubate and store the logs, manage mushroom harvests, encourage consistent cropping and ensure the health and longevity of your logs.
As a part of this workshop, you will be assembling your own 3’ long hardwood log to take home and grow outdoors. This time we will be inoculating willow logs with nameko mushrooms. All of the materials, equipment and supplies will be provided for you. Just arrive ready to learn and excited to start growing your own mushrooms! A copy of the presentation material, as well as additional resources and sources of information will be provided to participants.

1) If you would like to take in the session but aren’t yet ready or interested to assemble your own mushroom log, you can selection the ‘Info Only’ ticket.
2) If you would like to register as an individual and assemble one inoculated log, you can celect the ‘Single’ ticket.
3) If you would like to register as as a couple or with a friend, but are only interested in inoculating and taking care of one log, you may select the ‘Buddy’ tickets.
