Plant Of The Week #6: Dioscorea polystachya

This week I would like to share with you a hardy, perennial vine that I learned about earlier last year and at some point (hopefully sooner rather than later) would like to add to my living collection of useful and beautiful plants. Although drab by most gardener’s standards, this vigorous and fast growing plant definitely deserves some space, especially if you are interested in unusual yet perfectly practical plants that, really, just haven’t quite caught on yet. Plant of the Week #2: Elaeagnus multiflora

Welcome to the second edition of Plant of the Week! Since I wrote to you last week (which in case you missed it you can check out right here) I have accumulated quite a substantial list of exceptional plants that I feel deserve their own time in the limelight, so there certainly won’t be a lack of subject matter in the weeks and months to come! Trust me, this happens way more often then you think it does. Continue reading “New ‘Plant of the Week’ Series”
